Plan one small focus session

Turn a vague task into a single timed session, then leave a useful note for your next start.

Guides for current local app features. See each app page for download status.

  1. Plan one task and 15 minutes

Try this finish line: read pages 1–5 of a study handout and write three bullet points. Create that task in Taskflow; a due date or reminder is optional. In Focus Grove, choose a 15-minute countdown, an available plant and, if helpful, a tag such as “Read five pages.” Check the displayed duration before starting. For a first attempt, leave sound and the optional distraction guard off so you can learn the timer on its own.

  2. Handle interruptions and check the result

Pause the timer if you need a short interruption, then resume when you return. If you end early, do not assume it counts as a completed session. After the countdown, review the Focus Grove history and check your work: did you read all five pages and write three points? Mark the Taskflow task complete only when that result is ready. Finishing the timer does not complete the task in another app.

  3. Make the next start easier

If you stopped on page 4, write “Read pages 4–5, then add the third point” in your Taskflow notes. Optionally add a brief Daybook reflection you are comfortable keeping on this device. If you later try the guard, read its disclosure, select a nonessential distracting app and enable the separate Android accessibility access. If it does not respond, check that the timer is active and unpaused and that access is enabled. You can turn the guard off and still use the timer.
